Frequently Asked Questions
What counts toward my notification limit?
Each Discord message posted by a notification rule counts as 1 notification. If multiple rules trigger for the same Notion event, each post counts separately.
Does not count:
- Using custom task commands (e.g.,
/bug,/task) - Using
/my-tasksor/findcommands - Button interactions (status changes, assign to me)
- Dashboard usage
How do I upgrade my plan?
Open Billing in the NotiCord dashboard.
- If you are on trial, use the main billing panel and click Activate Team plan.
- To review limits first, click Compare plans (opens a comparison modal).
- To move from Team to Solo, click Switch to Solo and confirm in the modal.
Before starting checkout, set I'm buying for business use under the primary button. The setting applies tax handling during Stripe checkout.
Why don't I see usage on Billing when it's zero?
When your current billing period has 0 notifications sent, the usage card is hidden. Instead, Billing shows quick actions to Create notification rule or Connect task database so you can get started faster.
How do I delete my account?
Open Settings → Danger Zone → Delete Account.
To complete deletion, you must:
- Select a deletion reason.
- If you select Other, provide details.
- Type DELETE to confirm.
If your subscription is active, cancellation is scheduled for the end of the current billing period before account deletion completes.
Why aren't notifications instant?
Notifications typically arrive within around 1 minute, but can take up to 5 minutes (sometimes longer) due to:
- Notion webhook batching - Notion aggregates events for up to 1 minute to reduce load
- Network latency - Time to process webhook and communicate with Discord API
- Processing time - Rule matching and message formatting
For technical details, see Notion's webhook documentation.
How do I share a database with NotiCord?
Use the Notion access guide: Give NotiCord Access in Notion.
Can I use browser page translation (for example Chrome Translate)?
Yes. NotiCord setup pages support browser translation now, including fast interactions while translated.
If a page looks stale after translation finishes, refresh once and continue.
I see "Authorization Canceled" after Discord login. What should I do?
This means Discord authorization was canceled or denied during sign-in.
On the callback screen, click Try Sign In Again to restart Discord sign-in immediately.
- When Discord asks for access again, approve it to continue.
- If it still fails, open a support request with a screenshot of the technical details shown on that page.
